Bradley East is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and designer with over 10 years experience working and exhibiting throughout Australia.
Bradley’s career has been expansive, self-training first in fashion photography before developing an extensive street art portfolio. A diploma in visual art brought about a passion for academics, architecture and abstract painting which led him to a degree in Sculpture from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Bradley first entered a hot glass studio during this degree in 2019, before graduating he began working casually at Melbourne Glassworks where he went on to manage operations for Mark Douglass Design in 2021.
In 2023, Bradley’s first solo exhibition featuring glass was opened at Rubicon ARI in Melbourne, VIC. The exhibition bridged his ongoing drawing practise with his developing glass career showing detailed engravings alongside extensive drawings on paper. He was brought on by Hot Haus Glass Studio to use his experience in interior design logistics to launch and manage their lighting brand; Haus Lights. He continues to work for Haus Lights as well as freelance consulting with emerging lighting designers.
Alongside his making practice, Bradley has curated several shows and events, his interests in curating develop out of explorations of economic factors that influence the creative process as well as a desire to play with the public/private nature of artists and designers and their work.
Bradley moved to Adelaide in 2025 to begin his associateship in glass at Jam Factory. He currently lives aboard a small yacht with his partner Matt, dividing his time between making, working and sailing.
